Projects and Files
Understand how projects, conversations, files, and results relate to each other.
One project, one long-running workspace
A project holds a piece of ongoing, real work — contract review, hiring, content operations, or customer research. Each project links to one long-lived folder and can contain multiple lightweight conversations.
New conversations reuse the project's files and project memory; Nexts does not copy a full working directory for every conversation.
When you don't need a project
- Simple knowledge questions.
- One-off tasks that don't need persistent file context.
- Quick work involving only one or two temporary attachments.
Adding and referencing files
Add attachments
Use the attachment button next to the input box to add images or documents.
Paste content
You can paste images, text, or longer material directly — Nexts handles it based on the content type.
Reference project files
Type @ to search for and reference files in your project, giving the current task explicit context.
Nexts should only send content you have explicitly selected to your chosen model service, and only to complete tasks you initiated.
